Plastic pallets are an important tool for transporting and storing goods, and their dimensions and specifications also have certain standards.

In 1988, in order to prevent the increase of pallet specifications and cause confusion in the world logistics system, the International Organization for Standardization Pallet Committee integrated the recommended plastic pallets into four specifications: 1200×800mm, 1200×1000mm, 1219×1016mm, and 1140×1140mm. In 2003, on the basis of maintaining the original four specifications, two more specifications were added: 1100×1100mm and 1067×1067mm.

Specifically, European pallets mainly use 1210 pallets (1200mm×1000mm) and 1208 pallets (1200mm×800mm). Euro pallets are also the most widely used pallets. Other countries, such as Australia and South America, mostly use European standard pallets. The main specifications of Japanese and Korean pallets are 1111 pallets (1100mm×1100mm), and Southeast Asian countries mainly adopt Japanese and Korean standards. The United States mainly uses 48-inch × 40-inch pallets, and 1210 pallets are also often used. China mainly uses 1200mm × 1000mm pallets, and the standard also recommends the use of 1111 pallets.

Plastic pallets come in a wide variety of sizes. 1. The specific specifications of the goods and the way they are placed on the plastic pallet. Choose the appropriate size pallet according to the packaging specifications of the palletized goods to maximize the use of the surface area of the pallet.

2. Consider the case of plastic pallet loading tools. The appropriate size of the plastic pallet should just meet the size of the transportation tool so that the space of the transportation tool can be fully and reasonably utilized and the transportation cost can be saved. When purchasing plastic pallets, we especially need to consider the box size of the container and delivery truck.

3. If plastic pallets are to be used on warehouse shelves, the size of the warehouse and cargo grid should also be considered. Usually, two pallets are placed on each floor of the optional shelf, and a storage space of about 200mm is reserved.

4. In the case of export, it is also necessary to consider the flow direction of the plastic pallets loaded with goods. As mentioned above, different countries may have different plastic pallet size standards. For example, 1200×1000mm plastic pallets are suitable for exporting to Europe, and 1100×1100mm plastic pallets are suitable for exporting to Japan.
