With the continuous deepening of the urbanization process, the problem of land scarcity is becoming more and more serious, and the warehousing and logistics land, which is indispensable for industry, commerce, and society, is also increasingly scarce. High-density warehousing and logistics technology has become a development trend. On the one hand, traditional shelves are built higher and higher to make full use of the limited floor space of storage. Such storage systems generally use ultra-high stacking cranes to complete theirs in and out operations. On the other hand, it reduces the number of roadways and realizes high-density storage of goods in both horizontal and vertical directions. This three-dimensional intensive racking system requires a special way of entering and leaving the warehouse, and its biggest problem is that it cannot realize the direct outgoing operation of each piece of goods.
At present, the common three-dimensional intensive racking systems and access methods are as follows:
1. Drive-through racks and drive-in racks: Forklifts can drive into the drive-through racks or drive-in racks to access goods, which reduces the number of passages required by forklifts and can put down more shelves in limited warehouse space. It greatly improves the space utilization and storage capacity of the warehouse.
2. Push-back rack: This kind of rack is used in conjunction with the cargo trolley, and the palletized goods are pushed back into the rack one by one through the cargo trolley. It will be automatically returned to the first slot.
3. Gravity racks: use gravity to store and store goods. Gravity racks are installed with a small downward inclined angle by arranging unpowered rollers in the storage aisle, and the goods automatically slide from the storage end to the lower shipping end by their own weight.
The pallet shuttle board storage system is a semi-automatic storage technology. Different from the drive-through rack and the drive-in rack, the forklift does not have to enter the racking aisle to work, but cooperates with the pallet shuttle board to work on the aisle. In this way, the accident rate of the forklift hitting the shelf is greatly reduced, and the length of the roadway can be increased accordingly, further improving the storage density.
Vertical and horizontal rotating automatic containers are also branches of high-density warehousing and logistics technology, among which vertical automatic containers are widely used. The vertical automatic container is divided into two main ways: vertical rotation or vertical lifting, suitable for high-density storage of small parts, and ergonomic storage and picking operations.
